Summer School 2015

Summer school runs from Monday, June 22nd to Friday, July 24th from 8 am to noon. There is no school on Friday, July 3rd. If your child has been recommended for summer school or if you feel summer school would be in your child’s best interest, then please click the link below to print off the registration paperwork for summer school and return it to the Mahone front office as soon as possible. Call Mr. Germain at 359-8112 if you have any questions.

KUSD Parent/Guardian Survey

Parents/guardians are encouraged to log onto Infinite Campus between Wednesday, April 29 and Thursday, May 29 to participate in this year’s board required KUSD Parent/Guardian Survey. The survey, which used to be sent via Survey Monkey, will now be available via the parent portal on Infinite Campus. Survey results will be anonymously compiled and parents are urged to take the survey for each student enrolled in KUSD, especially if they attend different schools. Any parent/guardian having issues logging in should contact the KUSD Helpdesk at 359-7700.



Summer Activities

The Kenosha Unified Recreation Department will again this year offer summer activities for all students residing within the KUSD boundaries beginning Monday, June 15th. You may go to the Recreation Department website “Youth Summer Programs” for additional information. www.kusd.edu/departments/recreation-0


You must register for these programs at the Recreation Department, 2717-67th St. (which is located in the west end of the Kenosha Senior Citizen Center on Roosevelt Road and 28th Avenue). Registration for swim lessons begins May 6th. All other programs registration begins May 13th.

Programs offered for secondary school children are:

* Swim Lessons held at Bradford High School (free)
* Tennis Lessons held at Bradford, Tremper, Indian Trail & Nash (free)
* Competitive Swim Team with practices at Bradford. Mondays-Fridays. Several swim meets held. ($25 fee)
* Supervised Open Weight Lifting (Grades 8-12) at Bradford, Indian Trail & Tremper ($20 fee)

Mahone PTSA Kingfish Baseball Game Flyer

Dear Mahone Families:


The Mahone PTSA is selling tickets for the Saturday, May 30th Kenosha Kingfish baseball game against the Battle Creek Bombers. Tickets sell for $15.00. $10.00 are for the ticket and a Kenosha Kingfish hat and $5.00 goes back to the Mahone PTSA. Please start ordering your tickets now and enjoy a night out of baseball fun with your family and friends. There will be printed fliers at the Mahone office and a flyer will be downloaded on the Mahone Website (linked above). Please get your flyer for more information on game time/place, payment, and how you would like to receive your tickets. We would like to thank the Kenosha Kingfish Baseball Team for thinking of Mahone in helping us raise money for our PTSA. Thank you.

Tell Me More Language Program

KUSD sent home an optional sign up sheet to register your child to use “Tell Me More,” an online language program your child can use from the internet at home to learn Chinese, Spanish, French, German, or Italian. If you turned in your registration sheet, then you just need to have your child check out a set of headphones with an attached microphone from our school library. The directions for logging in are in the attachment below.

Asynchronous Learning Days
There will be five asychronous days this year. The students DO NOT have school on these days. The days are listed on the Mahone Website, on the calendar.
