The holiday season is here! Many of you buy items off Amazon as part of your holiday shopping. PTSA has set up an Amazon Smile account. Amazon Smile is a way to donate to an organization simply by shopping on Amazon. It is no cost to you and 0.5% of your purchase goes to Mahone’s PTSA. You shop at smile.amazon.com and you can use your regular amazon account to donate. For the charity, you would select  PTA Wisconsin Congress Mahone Middle School. Boys Basketball Try-outs

Basketball is a team sport and we need every player to be a team player: academically, behaviorally, and athletically.  Because we have over 70 students interested in boys basketball and only 24 spots, grades and good behavior will be the prerequisite for trying out!   Any male (grades 7 and 8) interested in trying out for basketball must turn in the Boys Basketball Try-outs form to the office by Tuesday, November 15th.   No Try-out forms will be accepted after November 15th.   Try-outs are January 3rd and 4th from 4:00pm-6:00pm.

All other Athletic Paperwork and Physical forms must be turned into the office no later than December 20th.  If you make the team, athletic fees will be collected in January.

Kajeet - a free mobile hotspot for your child

KUSD will begin piloting Kajeet at Bradford, Indian Trail and Tremper high schools, as well as Bullen, Lance, Lincoln, Mahone and Washington middle schools in January 2016. Kajeet is a mobile hotspot that offers internet usage to students at home with the same filters and protections they would have while at school. This service will be FREE for our families

Visit your school library media teacher for specific program details or kajeet.net to learn more.

Tell Me More Language Program

KUSD sent home an optional sign up sheet to register your child to use “Tell Me More,” an online language program your child can use from the internet at home to learn Chinese, Spanish, French, German, or Italian. If you turned in your registration sheet, then you just need to have your child check out a set of headphones with an attached microphone from our school library. The directions for logging in are in the attachment below.
